This week's The Mentalist made me cry.

My sister's wedding rehearsal was tonight, and afterwards we went out for dinner with all the helpers. We started talking about TV shows and I mentioned that I preferred cop shows like The Mentalist over shows like Mad Men. I'm up to 3x11, the mixed martial arts episode. Just watched the scene where Jane pokes the big angry martial arts fighter until the guy goes after him, intending some injury to Jane's person, and I had to pause the ep so I could write this.

Took the GO bus home tonight and met my parents for dinner. We didn't want to wait for a table at the steakhouse, so opted for Japanese instead, only to be told there was also a wait. But then we got seats at a teppanyaki table, so we had spur-of-the-moment teppanyaki. SO MUCH FOOD. Plenty of leftovers for tomorrow's lunch.
